Downloading Red Hat ver 9.0

Image
Although several distros of Linux are available and even Latest versions of Fedora are available for free download, in many academic and Engineering institutions and for R&D purposes, most of us still prefer Red Hat 9. Red Hat 9 can, at present only be downloaded from Red Hat archive site. Other than that it nearly impossible to acquire one until one of your friend has a faithful copy of it. Version 9 cannot be downloaded from the Red Hat ftp site. It can however be downloaded from the following location: ftp://archive.download.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/9/en/iso/i386/ There are 3 CDs available in ISO format. You need to download them and burn them onto CDs using an ISO burning utility such as [ISO burner or Nero] The direct link for x86 machine are: ftp://archive.download.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/9/en/iso/i386/shrike-i386-disc1.iso ftp://archive.download.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/9/en/iso/i386/shrike-i386-disc2.iso ftp://archive.download.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/9/en/iso...
