For starters, if you check the process informations in the taskbar, ctfmon.exe takes about 1.5K of memory. But given the purpose of the ctfmon process is it worth it. Ofcourse if you are using any of Microsoft Office's advanced text services, you may need it but if you think you don't need those services, then precious system resource is being wasted on it.
