Lake Umium (Borapani Lake) - 2016 December - Christmas Eve

Image
This photo is not photoshop-d. While the sun & the clouds played hide and seek, this nice formation occurred over the Borapnai lake. It is one of my childhood favorites. And with low days during COVID19 lockdown, this sort of reminds God is watching us; there is always a ray of hope!

Christmas Eve 2016 - Shillong (Police Bazar)

Image
A late evening Christmas Eve, Winter of 2016 a Meghalaya.  Amidst the chilly weather of Shillong, the entire city is draped in lights and glitters and joyful crowd. The happily charged atmosphere instilled a sense of excitement in every soul. With summer in Assam across the corner it is never too late to post this all time memorable photo taken by me. Lukha River : The Green Reflection

Image
Lukha River - Narpuh reserve forest near the Sonapur Tunnel, Meghalaya. The waters of this river just takes breath away. Yes, it is not photoshop'd and truly the colour of the river water is Green-tone (Originally Blue-toned). Of late, it is alleged due to mining of coal & limestone and also due to pollution from Cement factory river is turning dark. First two pictures were taken on Winter of 2016 on my Solo bike ride to Barrack Valley (Assam/ India) The Last one was taken during another solo ride during 2018 October.

Poa Mecca - Hajo, Assam - Photography

Image
Few pictures of Poa - Mecca Hajo, Assam I came across my old Harddisk. In this Holy month it is worth sharing these pictures. Besides this Hajo in Assam is one of my favorite place among many and I keep visiting the place and irrespective of Religion, the Hajo is very sacred place in Assam, Hajo means Hills in Bodo language (Hajw), a native of Assam/ Bodo tribes. Here one can find the Sacred Poa- Mecca, the Hiyagrava Madhava Mandir, Kedarashwer Temple and Durga Temple all in close vinicity. Also Madan Kamdev Temple is there within 40 kms.

Banana Express - Photography

My very favorite The Banana Express. Not exactly good thing to disclose, this snap was taking one handed while riding a scooter with a other using the LeeEco 2 Mobile Phone. Not exactly a responsible act, but the sights of those bananas made me drool over and forget everything.

Remembering Bantul my Parrot-horn _/\_

Bantul was a parrot-horn fish I bought as a six months old baby. Full grown Parrot horns were costly back then in 2008-2009 and one would cost approx 3000 when bought from Calcutta (Kolkata). All these pics are collected between 2010 and 2014, by then Bantul was already 2 yrs old., grown up and powerful aggressive fishy. Somehow he seems to coexist with my pair of Tigersharks and a Kissing-Gorami and a Shawsank goldsfish (I forgot what exactly was the term of this but it belong to Koi family. You can spot in couple of the pictures). But as Bantul  grew, he got territorial and possessive. At the same time the Tiger sharks outgrown my two feet long aquarium and it was a lot of stress controlling the bad-arse Pisces crowd. So I handed over the tiger sharks to Aquarium person for resale and moved other fishes to a new tank. Bantul was my part of life for 6 years almost but he left us untimely due to accidental oxygen outages for several days may be 10 to 15 ... At that time I was...

Jackie Shroff - Interview and Learning from Life - Video

Indian Actor, Jakie Shoroff .. talks about his experience of life, his meaning of life and theres much to take away from him if we can agree to that. And even if not agreed to him, his style of talking was altogether different fan-following. I admit, in my childhood and even today am a big fan of his style. But that stands this clip apart is his view on life which was not easy for him and many can sure relate to that. As for the actual person posting it in facebook, kindly ignore him if you can never agree to him even I do not like his presentations. Still good things need to be shared.
